One Life Left

Definitely the UK's favourite radio show (sort of) about videogames.

Commissioned by London’s award-winning Resonance 104.4 FM in early 2006, One Life Left was only meant to run for six episodes.

Take that, The Man because now, somewhere around one hundred and fifty episodes later, it’s in its seventh season and grown from humbling, terrified, fumbling beginnings into one of the station’s most valued shows.

Take THAT, The Man. Also take that, British radio standards.

Take me to the Art Academy

I am no good at art. Countless Ann Arts and an art teacher telling me not to take it for GCSE are proof of that. Well SCREW YOU Mrs West – I’m going to keep drawing badly and pretending I’m not as bad as I am!

Staging an intervention on last week’s show was Brynley Gibson, executive producer of Art Academy. Sadly I didn’t have time to take any of the Art Academy lessons, so these drawings are still utterly without merit. Sorry.

Here’s what I did draw:

In coloured pencil it’s A Plant from Plants vs Zombies

In mixed media it’s Max from Scribblenauts.

And this is the one that had Ste and Brynley stumped, even when I told them what it’s supposed to be. Maybe Mrs West was right.

In pastels it’s The Bus from Desert Bus! What do you mean you can’t see it?

Oh well. Maybe I’ll improve after a few lessons.

Thanks Brynley!

I got the last one even before the guys decided to give it away with their not-so-much-clues-but-pretty-much-making-it-obvious assistance.

Never played PvsZ or Scribblenauts. Have I missed out?

And wheres my latest show for download?!?

Suddenly I am glad I never won. Also see you in Nottingham for more compliments like this one!
