It turns out my present wasn’t just a memory card — there were things ON that card. First, this message:

I have included some music files in your card by way of a gift.
I do hope you like them. If not you could delete the files and take the card itself as your gift.
Second, a directory called ‘music’, inside which was some music. We’ll be playing that music on the next show for sure. Sweet!
And third, this artist’s impression of the gift that Ann would have received had we been around to open f@keaddress’ first attempt at sending us stuff in the post.
