One Life Left

Definitely the UK's favourite radio show (sort of) about videogames.


Commissioned by London’s award-winning Resonance 104.4 FM in early 2006, One Life Left was only meant to run for six episodes.

Take that, The Man because now, somewhere around one hundred and fifty episodes later, it’s in its seventh season and grown from humbling, terrified, fumbling beginnings into one of the station’s most valued shows.

Take THAT, The Man. Also take that, British radio standards.

In these times of economic crisis I thought I should be thrifty with my blogging, so this is an amazing dual post. ‘Amazing’, I think.

POINT ONE: RE – s04e02

This it what happens when you combine unemployment, moving house and The Sims:

That is my actual new flat, in Sims form. Nice, huh? It was absolutely a worth while task and totally worth nearly two hours of my unemployed time.

Therefore I give Sims: Creation 7/10

POINT TWO: RE – Other business.

I found out yesterday that I have been shortlisted for a 4talent award here: click on me (maybe Ste will make that a link or something. I don’t know how.)

I’m up for Off-Air Radio, and believe me, after all my work on OLL, Off-Air Radio is something I know a lot about. So, my current mood is ‘Hooray!’, but by the end of October I could be Three Time Award Losing Radio Presenter Ann Scantlebury. That’s pretty special.
